A cool apartment, a trendy street and a downtown Toronto couple shoot. Jacqueline & Antoine are the real deal. They love fiercely and honestly. We met on a bustling section of Queen Street West in Toronto. Through a heavy front door and up a steep set of stairs we entered what can only be described as a botanical enthusiast meets artists dream apartment. They let me into their lives to capture just a tiny slice of their relationship.
These long winter months have been made less painful by all the trusting couples whom I’ve photographed. New love, blissful newlyweds, comfortable companions and long-time lovers, you all deserve to gift yourself with memories. What I do isn’t for everyone. Some people just aren’t comfortable with having another view their relationship in this way, and that’s ok. For those who feel something when looking at these photographs, I am for you. I don’t pose. I don’t really talk, I just observe. You can play your own music, you can make breakfast and hangout in the living room. Some couples start off shy and get more comfortable with having me around. Many comment that in those quiet moments they think about how much love they have for one another; how beautiful his eyes look in the morning light or how soft her cheek is against his. I want to capture this.
Here’s to love, in all it’s shapes and forms. May we always love fiercely.
