Originally from Toronto and currently living in San Francisco, Kris & Darren have been together for nearly 17 years, the first 10 of which were spent long distance as they each moved away for university and began their careers in new cities. We had the pleasure in celebrating their love. They took us to one of their favourite spots, Chimney Rock, for a Point Reyes day-before session. We heard elephant seals on the beaches, saw deer and elk roaming, breathed in the salty ocean air and photographed the longevity and intimacy they share in their relationship. Later we continued celebrating with their friends and family who flew in from near and far with a beach bonfire at Limantour Beach filled with roasted hotdogs, marshmallows and oyster shucking following by their bohemian hilltop tent wedding overlooking Nicasio Valley. I’ve been holding onto this session, not wanting to share, so that it could be all mine. I’m finally letting it free into the world.
