Cassandra and Brendon had a beautiful and laid-back outdoor wedding at Glen Drummond Farm. It was the perfect summer day, warm with a little breeze and sunny with a little bit of cloud cover. This made for dreamy cotton candy sky portraits after dinner!
What was the most memorable part of the day?
The ceremony – as silly as it sounds. It is only a short section of the day but we didn’t put a lot of thought into mapping it out perfectly. But it was the most emotional and enjoyable and memorable part of our day. It felt like we were the only two people there and yet we felt completely surrounded by all of the people who love us.
Talk about your wedding day fashion and beauty look. How did you find your dress?
I fell in love with the designer Rue de Seine from the very first wedding magazine I looked at. I ended up settling for another dress in my price range, but never felt right about it. By sheer luck, I stumbled upon www.stillwhite.com and found a dress in Toronto in my size. It was an amazing experience and I loved that I gave the dress new life. I knew that I didn’t want the typical bridal look and my dress was not white, but it made me feel extremely elegant and true to my own style.
What was it like working with Jess?
It was amazing to have previously worked with our photographer for our engagement photos. It gave us a little bit of insight into her process and allowed us to feel more comfortable in front of the camera. I knew before I even saw any of the photos that I would love way too many of them – which of course turned out to be true!

Does the venue include that waterfall? Also is the place where the couple got ready on the property as well?
Hi Emily! The waterfall is in Hamilton and is not part of the venue itself however it’s a short drive away. The place where the couple got ready is a little hotel in Ancaster.
