Laura & Dave are a fun, down-to-earth couple who wanted their relationship to be captured in an honest way. I spent Sunday morning with them for their apartment engagement, documenting their morning routine. They ate breakfast, drank coffee and cuddled on the couch. It also involved watering the house plants, because who doesn’t find that beautiful?
Tell us about how you met, was it love at first sight?
HER VERSION:
Dave and I met at a Chvrches concert, back when they were doing smaller venues. I was behind Dave and he kept turning around to glance at me (he did a terrible job at feigning nonchalance). After the concert, he positioned himself between me and the exit to ask me to go for a coffee sometime. I hesitated to give him my number because we had barely had a conversation at that point, but I’m happy I did.
HIS VERSION:
I saw her at the concert and immediately thought she was beautiful. When I got the chance to talk to her, I found her to be very nice and engaging. When the concert was over, I made it my mission to get her number by creepily cutting her off before she could leave and then somehow mustered up the courage to ask her to go for a coffee and it worked!
Why did you decide to hire me to document your love?
You were the photographer at my close friend’s Moya & Jeff wedding. They’re a wonderful couple – very much in love, with great taste and hearts of gold, and we felt you did a great job capturing that!
