This is as dreamy as a sunset picnic engagement shoot can be. Mel & Gautam are doctors, but you’d never guess it. They both work at separate hospitals in the city and live a pretty busy life, but that doesn’t stop them from enjoying good food, music and gathering with friends in the city. We explored a new favourite spot of mine, just a 10 minute drive from my house for their engagement session. With all the rain southern Ontario has had this spring, the water level was pretty high. We didn’t have much in the way of a beach, but the cliffs and a fallen tree made for the perfect bench to hang out.

Mel and I went to school together, but we actually met at a social before classes started. I thought she was interesting and beautiful, and knew pretty early on she was the one for me. Fast forward 7 years, and we’re getting married! We found Jess’s work after looking through multiple photographers online. Her work immediately stood out as it was unique, emotional, a little edgy at times and captured both of our personalities.
