My alarm went off at 5:30 am and I quietly gathered my equipment and made the drive to Toronto. We hopped on the first ferry ride for their Toronto Centre Island engagement, exploring in the early morning light. The water was calm, the stillness emulating the connection I had the good fortune of photographing between Sharon & Matti. Sunrise has become my favourite time to shoot. It has a misty, foggy feel, as if it’s stretching and trying to keep the rest of the day covered like a hidden secret. Beautiful light and connections like these is what continues to drive my creativity and makes me grateful to photograph it for a living.
