When Reba & TJ were planning their wedding, neither of them dreamt of a traditional wedding. They wanted something simple, stress free and intimate. Being from Texas is was a surprise when TJ suggested Iceland as a possible destination. The following day they came across an elopement Matt and I had photographed in the West Fjords a couple months prior. They fell in love with the simplicity of the images and stark beauty of the landscape. Their midnight sun Icelandic elopement was an idyllic day, filled with love and surrounded by their immediate families. After one of the best dinner meals I’ve ever consumer (and I stopped just short of licking my plate clean), we whisked the couple away during the prettiest of light.
Exploring around Kirkjufell and the Snaefellsnes peninsula we happened upon some beautiful and hidden locations we will hold close for a long time to come. Stopping at every corner, we nearly missed the setting sun, running to capture the last of the light rays before they disappeared behind the mountains. That didn’t stop us from exploring the jagged coastline and cliffs. Dusk is such a mystical time to photograph, everything was coated in a light dusty rose and faded shades of orange. Here is just a little snap of their day, captured by Matt and I. Enjoy.
