How did you choose your wedding venue?
We spent a lot of time at the Hermitage Club in the Eastern Townships when we lived in Montreal, and it always felt like a special place to us. When we started thinking about venues, we loved the idea of bringing our family and friends from Toronto and elsewhere to experience it as well. It felt personal and meaningful, which made it the perfect choice for our wedding.
Wedding planning advice?
There’s so much information and so many opinions out there, which can be overwhelming. My advice is to trust your gut, stay true to your vision, and invest in the things that actually matter to you. Don’t feel pressured to spend money on things that don’t align with your priorities just because they’re considered “must-haves.”
What was the most memorable part of your day?
One of the most special moments was right after our ceremony when David and I hopped on a golf cart and took a little drive, just the two of us. It was the first time all day that we had a quiet moment alone, and having that time to soak in the fact that we were married(!!!), to debrief, and to just be together in the middle of all the excitement really stands out in my memory. It was such a simple but meaningful pause in the day.
