Yosemite National Park

Back in the spring we photographed a wedding in San Francisco. We decided that it would be a shame to visit San Francisco for the third time and not make our way to Yosemite. It’s just a short 3 hour drive away and it was a pretty drive in but you could really see the devastation from previous years forest fires as you get closer to the valley. Regardless, it was beautiful and being spring we didn’t encounter any traffic into the park. We stayed in one of their heated canvas tents in the village which was nice and we were in a quiet area [away from the school trip and crazy 12 year old kids who were camping out on the other side].

Seeing Yosemite from tunnel view is spectacular. Being spring, Glacier Point road was closed because of snow but we decided we still wanted to see more so we hiked Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls. It took us a couple hours to get to the top and back down and it was so worth it! Also, end of April in Yosemite is beautiful. We wore shorts and t-shirts the entire time! We can’t wait to get back there!
