The setting:
A romantic Hart House wedding in Toronto at the U of T campus. With an almost Harry Potter Hogwarts feel, this is my favourite venue in the city. With large stone walls, old windows, dark wood paneling and an incredibly intimate courtyard it’s no wonder I love photographing here. The windows allow for beautiful natural light that isn’t too harsh and the dark wood and long harvest tables create an old world elegance.
The people:
Heather & Frank are accountants with style. They met at work, fell in love, and dreamed of a simple yet elegant wedding celebration in the city. They don’t fuss over details and are down-to-earth. They’re easy to get along with and that goes a long way in connecting on the wedding day and allowing me to create honest imagery.
The day:
It started off relaxed in the upstairs getting ready room, with lots of laughter and food. A wedding isn’t a wedding without lots of food. The entire day embodied a very romantic and simple vibe and I’m honoured to have been there to capture it all.
